Fencing Scholarships – Athletic Financial Awards at Brock University
The Brock varsity fencing team through Brock Sports & Recreation are pleased to offer athletic financial awards (scholarships) to qualified male and/or female athletes with high school incoming averages of 80% or greater and returning (university/college) averages of 70%, and possess exceptional fencing abilities and competitive drive.
Currently the maximum value of any one fencing athletic financial award is $5,000 as per Ontario University Athletics (OUA) rules
All potential recipients must comply with current OUA and Brock University regulations in order to be eligible to receive an award. Athletic awards can be combined with academic and financial awards as determined by academic departments and Student Awards and Financial Aid.
All awards are overseen by Brock Student Awards and Financial Aid. Nominations for awards are put forward by the Head Coach based on athletic performance, domestic standings, and athlete fit. Athletes who are applying to Brock University and wish to be considered for an award should contact head fencing coach Tim Stang (tstang@brocku.ca).
